We stayed in a house that was about 25 min from downtown. The house was clean and a great location right on the water. It had kayaks, a fire pit, a boat dock, and a deck that had amazing views of the water.

I have my own kayak and enjoy spending time on the water. If the place you stay doesn’t have kayaks and you don’t have your own, there are places where you can rent for a day or longer if you want.

The place we stayed at had a little beach area, so I spent sometime soaking up the sun and working on my tan or maybe I should say working on my sun burn. I would suggest using sunscreen.

We decided to drive to downtown Traverse City and found this pizza place. The food and service was good but the view was way better. We sat on the rooftop area that has a perfect view of the water.

Clinch park is a green space, boat dock, and beach all in one. It is an easy walk from downtown, where all you have to do in cross under the tunnel. Walk along the harbor and take in the views.

As a part of a tour we did for the Sleeping Bear Dunes, we first stopped at this trail to take short hike to see the dunes from a distance. The water is so blue is looked like the sky and water were merging together.

Known for the giant dunes that people have to call emergency services to get back up. Don’t be one of those people. Go over to the Overlook to see the dunes from the top or take your try at the Dune climb.

Known as the ‘Cherry Capital,’ it was a must to stop over at the Cherry Republic. They offer a variety of different cherry products from wine, candies, to dog treats.

This is a classic drive in with burgers, fries, and milkshakes. The milkshake I got was one of the best I have ever had. This little diner is friendly and a must visit
