Located off of Mountain Road, this lodge is the perfect spot to enjoy the fall season in Vermont. There is a creek running behind the lodge that offers beautiful views and there are also plenty of trees to see the fall colors. There was also a hot tub and pool to come back to after a long day out exploring.

The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail is a 93 mi trail along the Lamoille River. We rode about 40 min until we reach Morristown, where we stopped for lunch. After that we rode another 30 mi to the Slice of Earth Farmstand where we got some amazing maple syrup and pickles. It was a long ride but the fall colors offered great views.

After a long bike ride we stopped to get something to refresh. They have coffee, smoothies, tea, and little bites to eat. The store is a cute little coffee shop with comfy couches and seating.

To get to one of the parking lots, you will first need to drive up and down the winding roads with giant boulders lining the side of the road. Once you find a place to park, get out and see just how picturesque the mountain and boulders look with the backdrop of trees full of fall colors.

We were pretty tired after today so we just ordered some pizza to go and ate it back at our hotel room. The pizza was good and was also ready pretty fast.

This place was the perfect spot to grab a quick bite to eat and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. I got a ham and cheese croissant that they warmed up for me and it was top notch.

I recommend going early in the morning to avoid the line. We only had a short wait to go up the gondola. After we got to the top, it was a little foggy but we could still see all the shades of orange, red, and yellow of the trees. There is a gift shop at the top to do some shopping. There is also a fancy restaurant if that if your thing.

This was the highlight of our trip. I’m not one to shy away from an outdoor adventure. I enjoy zip lining but also being able to it with the views of the changing leaves made it that much better.

We were looking to kill some time and came across this craft show that was right by our lodge. It was full of different booths that had anything from food, art work, paintings, and one even had clothes made from alpaca fur and they brought the alpacas with them.

An iconic church in Vermont, this is probably one of the most photographed places in the state. However, I would not recommend trying to get a picture. It’s very anticlimactic. All the parking lots to take pictures are so busy and there are better less known places to take pictures of the town.

On the way back to our lodge we were looking for a place to get some food and saw a colorful cow painted outside the restaurant and decided to stop. The food was pretty average but the environment was enjoyable.

We liked this place so much we decided to come here for a second morning. This time I got an iced tea and cinnamon roll that was so creamy and delicious.

No trip is complete without ice cream, right? We did the factory tour and after got a sample of the flavor of the day which was caramel flavor. Then we walked around to see the Flavor graveyard of all the retired flavors.

We had eaten out a lot this trip and was looking for some fresh food for lunch. We saw this farmers market on the side of the road so we decided to stop. They had fresh made sandwiches and fruits and veggies.

What better way to end a trip than getting some drinks before heading back home. They had a variety of different hard ciders and the food was decent.
